That was the surprise that showered upon me when I stepped out of the train at Novena station... What a "lovely" welcome, to have so many staff and construction workers mobbing the entire station. Yeah, with pails and mobs... It had seemed that the nearby construction site had burst a pipe, resulting in the flood that drown the MRT station literally. The scene of water dripping from the ceiling of the underground platform made me real worried. Would the entire structure just give way? What would I do if the collapse happens when I am inside it? The scare was enough to send shivers through my normally calm and compose soul... Memories of the Nicoll Highway incident suddenly became fresh...
I sincerely hope that the authories would look into projects that involved underground tunneling. I am serious... It is never predictable when accidents happen... Today might just only be a flood, but who knows if the underground structure would cave in?? Though advances in technology had enable people to venture into developing infastructure underneath, it is better to play safe than be sorry... At least I don't want to be the victim trapped down there... I still have to take that train route for at least another month...
