But this feeling was short-lived, as dread began to fill my heart when the computer went dead upon the running of the software part... No single respond could be prompted from pressing the switches on the circuit board... And the program decided to over-rule any attempts to end it... So much so that in the end I had to use the most primitive way to solve the threat of a dead computer - pressing the reset button (the one who invented this little button is my hero for the day!!)... This was repeated for countless time till I feared that I would break the poor little reset button... Only to realise in the end that the entire fault came from the given hardware... The connection belt given was not working... What a cruel joke!!
It is a relief to have the program that command the hardware to display functions such as auto increment of number displayed or scroll left... And I am happy that at least I am getting some solid results to write about in my report... Though the time spent on doing the wiring could have been more fruitful if I use them on studying for the upcoming quizzes, I am contented to know that hardwork paid-off when I had fulfilled the requirement for this project... At least I do not have to worry about the assessment by the tutor... All that is left is the work on the report, which would be due in two weeks time... Among the other two reports which I had to finish too by then...
So the next feat for me to accomplish:
Complete three reports and finish studying for three quizzes during the one week recess break!!
