Actually went out together with my mom, sis and the elder of the two kids on saturday... Well, since my sis promised me a treat, I gladly compromised to go after accepting the bribe... Only to just buy a skirt for the coming new year... Then, we covered almost half of Geylang in vain trying to locate the shop that sells Taiwan's food... But, I am totally disappointed in the quality of the food served... Never will I return for a second try!! Furthermore, the bus route in Geylang pissed me off... Why couldn't TIBS just have the courtesy to take out the bus number from the bus stop when they had in fact terminated the service? The misleading information on the buses available made the four of us stood there like fools for almost half an hour... Until I could no longer bear it... I just flagged down the other available TIBS bus and asked if the stupid 853 is still in service... And angrily got on the bus to just get as far away as we could from that place... This incident made me realized that TIBS service is not that great afterall... Went directly to spa-perm my hair after reaching home... The entire process took almost 4 hours... But the end result was satisfying... The new image had my friends in IME commenting that the locks are very cute... And my sis said that I looked rather like a doll!!

Sunday was a day reserved for helping out in a charity that my mom started on not too long ago... The main task is to tidy up the collected old newspapers, used textbooks and papers, glass, cans and so on for recycling... The money collected from selling those stuff would be used by the charity group to help those in need... It was a fun and enriching experience... But I am deeply saddened too... From the stuff that was donated out, it was not hard to understand that many people are living in wealth... So much so that they are phasing out used but in working condition things like TV set, computer and printer without a single care in the world... They are enjoying life for granted... They do not seem to understand that those acts of throwing away the things which many would have to save up for a lifetime before they could afford it deeply troubled me... Is this how the society is molding the generation? Why this gap existed in the first place? Maybe the mentality of those wealthy people are just different... Maybe they just needed this channel to showcase their fortune... Though there is nothing I could do to change this situation, I am going to continue with the helping out at the charity work... At least, I am contented that the 4 hours that I am putting in would go a long way to help those who are in need...

I had started to get into holiday mood... Even if the task assigned to me for this week is outright boring, I am hanging on... Afterall, this is going to be the one and only long holidays in the entire year!!
