New Year celebration came and went without any notice... To me, the long holidays passed just like any other normal and boring days... Nothing much to anticipate... Nothing much to be excited about...
The only "happening" day was when I went back to Malaysia to visit my grandmother on sunday... Having spent some effort to doll myself up, I was really quite enjoying myself on the trip... It was nice to be able to mingle with those cousins... People who are concerned with your current life... Rather than keeping on asking when are you going to find a husband and get marry... It was no wonder that my mom and sis were truly amazed by the scene of me chatting happily with my cousins!!
Other than that, I went out to temples to pray on monday... The tiring trip which had me dropped by at least four temples was made worse by the rain... The heavy downpour trapped my entire family in one of the hawker near Bugis Junction for a long time... When we finally braved the drizzle to go into KFC for lunch, my already bad mood took a massive plunge... Imagine having to find a suitable table for five... When you are in a place where even a small family of three would need to occupy three tables... On top of that, one lady who was obviously waiting for the rain to stop hog two tables with her belongings, while helping herself to a packet of gua zi... In the end, a fuming me went on the offensive and pulled a chair to sit in the middle of the pathway... Daring anyone to knock into me when they walk past... Haha...
The rest of the New Year was spent rotting at home doing nothing... The shows running on TV did not interest me... The lack of subbed anime for me to see simply made the whole thing worse... In the end, I was actually a little looking forward to going back to work... Haiz~ What a dry way to spend a long holiday...
