The last day of 2007 was spent going KTV with friends… it was my first outing with them… and my debut KTV trip… not to say a very pleasant and fun experience… as expected… I paled in comparison when it came to singing… yanzi was so high that we bullied her by refusing her the ownership of the remote control… lao gong had a very nice voice and huifen amazed me… yanzi even tried to show me her talents in mimicking wuzhongxian and ella… though she was a bit out of it… and shone when she sang duet with huifen by imitating jayzhou… haha… finally understood the passion in visiting KTV… it was so fun and crazy… we extended our stay and then tried to get the most out of it by singing so many “last song”… till yanzi saw one staff who had came and told us to sing our last piece staring at her…

And yes… after the outing… yanzi had told me to write an essay on my feelings… and huifen added the one thousand words limit… sorry but I would not be able to make it… and yanzi… I would try to learn more songs… though do not count on it coming true in the near future… HAHA… ok… hope that we would be able to arrange another trip again… I am looking forward to K-ge with you all!!

I witnessed a mini-countdown celebration from my kitchen’s window… Causeway Point actually held a party and when the New Year arrived… a display of fireworks lighted up the area… and I had a clear view of it… it was so beautiful… too bad I did not have with me any camera to snap any pictures and share the scene with all… a pity as it was the first year any party of this scale was spotted in neighborhood… not to speak of the expensive fireworks… but my brother had summarized it rather nicely… “they let you enjoy the fireworks tonight… tomorrow onwards they make you pay more for everything”… which was quite true…

The New Year message from the PM had painted such rosy pictures and vision for the coming year… and yet nothing was true… everything was just pertaining to certain groups… and those groups never involve me or my family or relatives… the hike in everything is becoming more and more of a burden… though with three working adults at home… every dollar spent had to be calculated and ways had to be implemented to save whatever we could… thus resulting in me cursing and swearing at the school when they did not offer my the jobs I had applied for…

Thus, my main wish for the New Year is to do well for my academics… then get a job as soon as I graduate… and stay healthy for the fear of medical cost… last but not least… adapt to having an extra member in the house and stay alive…
