The holidays for the lunar New Year had been rather wasted... I had went into it with a single goal... and that was to try to complete at least 80-90% of the FYP report... and yet... sadly... xiao yang enjoyed too much...

Eve was spent busying preparing for the reunion dinner... first day half of the time gone when we traveled back to Malaysia to visit my grandmother... second day was for resting... and third day?

My sister invited her friends and colleagues over... almost 20 plus plus people... and I was occupied with the role of playing host to strangers and make them feel at home... only to realized that they did not need to be hosted... A look at the amount of food they finished... and how they sat around the house talking and entertaining themselves scared my mom into thinking that she had to go down to the hawker and buy more food... incredible right? My mom whipped up more than enough dishes for 20 odd people... and one of my sister's university friend (a guy) cooked a large amount of chicken rice... plus the cookies and desserts we had asked my neighbor to prepare... but obviously the food were not enough to go around... so in the end... those who came late were left with nothing much... and my sister had to ask those who were even later to not come... pretty chaotic and loud...

What was most funny was that there was this male colleague of my sister who throughout the entire visit got hooked with playing the PSP borrowed from my brother… so much so that he refused to makan and ended up making my brother promising to give him a copy of all his available games once he buy a PSP too… and there was one primary school friend who overslept till so late that by the time he arrived, the rest of the primary school batch went home le… thus he never stayed for long… also met the daughter of my sister’s boss, who together with her boyfriend, graduated from NTU last semester… so I was tasked with chatting with them as my sister was too busy mingling with others…

Judging by the length and time of the party, I think I broke my own record in talking… never had xiao yang engaged in any conversation with strangers for so long… it was no wonder that they are my sister's friends or colleagues... similar character and appetite... and very happy-go-lucky types who are not uncomfortable around strangers… they mixed very well even though it was the first meeting for many of them… definitely brought the joyous New Year mood to my house… so much so that even though my mom was very tired and stressed, she looked forward to the coming year… and had instructed me and my brother to start inviting friends over… of course… by then we would have to call for buffet instead of home-cooked meals… and prepare more chairs and table…

For now, xiao yang finally started assembling my transducer array le… done up with the first stage yesterday… and Prof Tan was rather happy with the outcome… so today would be going over to the Robotic Research Lab at around 4pm to commence my second and hopefully the last stage… if everything goes well… think should be able to test out the prototype… and during the waiting time… xiao yang is slacking and waiting for the camera battery to charge up… then can take photos for the report… speaking of which… I should really continue with my typing of the report over the weekend… time seems to fly for February… and in less than 3 weeks the first draft is due… which means the exams are also following close by… not forgetting the demonstration that has to be conducted for the moderator… plus the oral presentation…

So my New Year wish would be to complete my project on time… and get a really nice moderator who gives marks generously… Haha… in addition, xiao yang also hope to hear from the companies that I had sent my resumes to… and be employed before I graduate… especially from Sunstar or Schering Plough… good health to me too as I am very much in need of it with the constant running nose now… last but not least…
